XRB-3 BLUE HEAD, is  our hardest mallets of the rubber-head  series.  XRB-3 is very much suitable for concerts and performances, especially for ragtimes  xylophone &  piano,  or in a chamber settings. This head is rubber, but as hard as it can get, so the XRB-3 touches clearly a sound range of any “standard” xylophone mallet.  It produces a very clear “woody” xylophone sound, and some players will absolutely have it as their “standard” xylophone choice, “first pair to grab out of the bag”.  However, XRB-3 will never hurt your ears or get wood-on-wood sound.  We at SchlagKraft belive that XRB-3 will be THE standard mallet for many.  Difference between XRB-2 and XRB-3 is clearly bigger than between XRB-1 and XRB-2. XRB-3  is also excellent mallet choice for long hours of practicing,  you hear clearly real xylophone sound but it does not hurt. With blue matte finish, 28 mm size rubber head, this mallet offers very good balance and performing feel. It is medium weight xylophone mallet, so your two mallets fast runs and technique practicing will result in building good chops.  XRB-3 is also a very good choice for Multipercussion including bongos, wood blocks etc…. We at SchlagKraft cut, send, turn, glue, and wrap the yarn on our mallets 100%  by hand.  XRB-3, as well as all others Schlagkraft Mallets, are handcrafted with pride in our workshop. 

OTHER USAGE: 
Try multipercussion set-up with bongos, wood blocks, etc… you will be very happy with a clear and loud outcome. Marimba upper three octaves also very nice.
